Our Selection Procedure

Our educational & selection missions require a rigorous vetting procedure to be on par with your childcare and educational requirements.

When it comes to finding the perfect match for your household, so that both parties can be happily satisfied, - family and nanny alike-, we are convinced that there is no room for amateurism.

To ascertain that nannies will deliver the highest standard of childcare and that nannies/governesses can introduce or teach your child a subject if parents wish so, we have put a lengthy vetting procedure in place allowing us to gauge both the professionalism and integrity of the nannies on our books, however time-consuming this may be.

Additionally, in selecting nannies, we adhere to a strict interview policy whereby:

1

We interview all candidates on a face-to-face basis. We do not register any candidate without a face-to-face interview.

2

We do not put forward nannies without a face-to-face interview.

3

Nannies must produce original qualifications, any relevant certificates and childcare certificates, or "diplômes certifiés conformes" etc.

4

We require a minimum of 2 years' experience in childcare and/or teaching.

5

Nannies are required to produce at least 2 written & checkable references from previous employers. In all cases, we will throroughly check their references.

6

We ckeck C.V. inconsistencies and gaps in their work history. We are open to valid & checkable explanations.

7

Nannies must provide their National Insurance details.

8

Nannies are required to produce a recent enhanced CRB disclosure, "Extrait de casier judiciaire" from Nantes, or other police checks from their country of origin.

9

As we must check the eligibility of nannies working in the UK, nannies will need to produce 2 proofs of identity and address, such as: passport, valid work permits & visas to work in the UK, driving license, birth certificate and utility bills etc.

10

Up-to-date first-aid certificate(s) if applicable. If not, we encourage nannies to enrol in a course. Some families are willing to pay  for a course, but this must be discussed with families prior to working with them.

11

Nannies will be asked to provide 2 passport-sized photos.

12

We must stress upon prospective nannies the importance of confidentiality as to any household where they will be put forward to.

13

We will not forward information regarding Nannies & Clients without the consent of both parties as per the Data Protection Act 1998.
